A survey found one in seven adults use CBD products.
Our nation loves CBD but we must find high-quality products otherwise it could put our health at risk.
If you’re eager to discover CBD but aren’t sure how to find high-quality products, you’ve come to the right place. Here are five things to look for.
1. Extracted Through Alcohol or CO₂
Substandard CBD manufacturers use toxic chemicals like propane, butane, pentane, or hexane to make CBD. As a result, they leave behind dangerous contaminants harmful to your health.
Reputable CBD manufacturers use ethanol, or grain alcohol, to remove toxins and residues from the base hemp plant. This means you get the highest amount of natural cannabinoids compared to other refinement processes.
You can also extract CBD oil with CO₂. This is where carbon dioxide is pressurized in freezing temperatures but it’s a far more expensive process.
2. Grown in High-Quality Soil
Hemp is a “hyperaccumulator” plant which means it absorbs everything from the soil, good and bad.
The soil must be healthy so it absorbs vitamins and minerals. Otherwise, poor soil produces a plant that’s filled with lead, petroleum, and toxic chemicals.
Look into where the CBD brand sources their hemp. The safest bet is U.S-grown hemp as the farmers, by law, have their fields frequently tested for toxic substances.
3. Transparent CBD Oil Test Results
Reputable CBD brands display third-party lab results either on the bottle, its packaging, or online.
These results ensure the CBD is everything it claims to be, with a high level of CBD, low THC, and contains no impurities that could harm the consumer. These results, for example, prove that a CBD product has been properly manufactured.
4. Made From “Whole Plant” Extracts
Find CBD oil made from whole-plant extracts otherwise known as full-spectrum oils.
They’re higher quality than CBD isolates because isolates are made from cheap materials and lack critical ingredients like cannabinoids and terpenes that make the oil effective.
5. Contains Under 0.03% THC
“How does CBD oil make you feel?” You ask.
High-quality CBD oil relaxes you and can ease certain ailments like joint pain. But it’s important to note there is no CBD oil high as the product only contains cannabinoids and not THC, a psychoactive ingredient.
There’s no completely THC free CBD as there is a trace of 0.03% but that’s not enough to get you high. But substandard manufacturers can boost THC levels that can be uncomfortable for some, so only choose CBD products that contain 0.03% THC otherwise it may be illegal in your state.
Discover CBD Products for Yourself Today
Now you know how to discover CBD products that are high-quality and safe to consume.
A reputable manufacturer displays their lab results, THC content, and where the hemp plant has been harvested. If not, it’s likely the CBD product contains toxins and be harmful to your health.
